Segesta is one of the more famous sites of NW Sicily. It is visible from the Acropolis of Monte Polizzo. Several impressive monuments are to be found here. Down low, in the valley, there is this very well preserved temple from the 6th C. BC. On the hilltop is a magnificent theatre. |
