The 2004 field season was spent excavating in and around the Salemi castle. We uncovered mostly medieval refuse, including a cistern filled with excellent debris! There was also uite a bit of of ancient ceramic material scattered throughout the area. We acutally moved more dirt this year than any other. Over 35 cubic meters!
