RUINED CASTLE WALL
A corner tower in ruins

This piece was constructed from some shipping styrofoam. that went around a computer monitor. The peice was originally U-shaped. I broke one corner off and glued it on to form the upper portion of the corner bastion.

Foamcore was used as the inner wall and walkway. Small peices of cork are used to make brickwork,

A stairway was made with foamcore and cardboard as described here.

Here is a top-down view.

Initial painting was with a bluegray, and then sprayed lightly with that stone spray.

The terrain was then washed with black to give it contrast.

It was then glued to the baseboard, and detailed.

Note the vines growing on the wall itself. This was done with white glue and terrain stuff.

The white lichen material is the result of a light overspraying of the gloss coat. The spray eats through the styrofoam on small patches. be careful to not overspray!
